Beirut is the capital and largest city of Lebanon, with a population ranging from 1 million to more than 2 million (as of 2007). Located on a peninsula at the midpoint of Lebanon's Mediterranean coastline, it serves as the country's largest and main seaport, and also forms the Beirut Metropolitan area, which consists of the city and its suburbs. The first mention of this metropolis is found in the ancient Egyptian Tell el Amarna letters, dating to the 15th century BC. The city has been continuously inhabited since.
End of Feb, (last month) me and David went on a short trip to Beirut. What a very nice trip it was!!! The weather was 19 c , first day was very sunny, but in second day it got windy. We were out exploring the downtown of Beirut and Al-Hamra. Went to see the mall in down town where we could find most of famous international brands. Walked all the way on the coast passed the Marina until we found Rawch Rock on the sea side.
The food was great, starting from Humus until all the types of grilled dishes that Lebanon is known by. People were friendly and all of them could speak English but this time I toke the chance to use my Arabic mother language that I havent been using in while.

Bad parts of the trip are: First we couldn't make it to see Jaita cave but we decided to maybe make another visit in summer. Second was me losing my suite case at the airport of Turkey, so I couldn't get it back until last day..anyway looking to the bright side everything was perfect, we had fun and I explored more of this lovely planet :)
