Smart Houswife Tricks 4 : Make Your Groceries Last Longer

Hello blog readers and especially pinners because this post is just for you. Recently I noticed that my collection of housekeeping tricks was the most repined board on pinterest and I desided to pick some goodies and share it here with you. Most of those tricks, ideas and tips were found while surfing the web from good sites such as: lifehacker, real simple and buzzfeed food ext..

I am planning to collect the most repinned images from the board and share them in a post every Tuesday, this way the blog post categories will be more organized. Enjoy it!

I will collect the most repined images from my board and share those tips in a post every
1- Freeze green onions in a plastic bottle: Make sure the green onions are completely dry before storing or they'll get freezer burn.

2- Cheese Tricks: Add a dab of butter to the cut side of cheese to keep it from drying out.Wrap in cheese paper or wax paper (NOT plastic wrap) and then place in a plastic baggie. Keep in the warmest part of the fridge (vegetable or cheese drawer).

3-Salad: Using a paper towel will keep your salad lettuce fresh all week long. The paper towel will absorb the moisture. Get more info here. Also, you might want to invest in a salad spinner. It’ll get rid of moisture, which is the culprit of wilting leaves.

4- Storing: Reuse plastic bottles to close up your plastic bags.

5- Keep ginger in the freezer. It grates much more easily, and the peel grates up so fine that you don’t actually need to peel it. Plus it lasts way longer.

6- Keep mushrooms in a paper bag, not a plastic bag. A plastic bag will trap moisture and cause them to mildew. Put them in a paper bag in the fridge or in a cool, dry place.

                 "Sunrise" Abstract - Original Acrylic Painting - Size (20 W x 29 L)

Hello buddies! Its been awhile since I blogged anything about my art works and how the Etsy shop is developing. I kinda feel like I am not giving the painting section that much of attention in here these days because I was pretty busy the last few weeks with moving to our new home and as you might have seen on my social media updates that besides learning Swedish courses, I joined an Art Academy besides for a year study of general art everything from drawing, to painting to form, photography ext.. and I am learning lots of new skills and information about arts that I didnt know before which is helping me alot developing my small art work business.

Here are two of my new abstract paintings made with acrylic paint on canvas following the " painting music " technic that I have learned recently. These are made for modern interior decor, and I would love to hear your feed back  and ideas about them. The first painting will be displayed for sale on Etsy as soon as I confirm the (weight) shipping coast. The second one is already booked for sale. If you feel like viewing more of my art works visit the gallery here or surf on  Nature Whisper Shop.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

DIY: Fall Decor

Hello blog readers! I hope you are all enjoying the change of the season, the cozy sense of the fall and its wonderful effect on nature. Warm colors of the leaves, soft wind and the foggy skies. Sometimes while walking back home each week day, I take a small peek between the bushes while walking near the woods and I just stand there and wonder .I free my imagination a little, and I become like a little child reading a fairytale. Somehow the feeling gets me but then I shift quickly to reality and go ahead keeping the inspiration. So here is these Super quick and easy fall decor project ideas:

1-Simply gather and glue some twigs to a plain votive and tie a string of twine around the center
with some fall leaves for a colorful autumn piece that can be used throughout the season Click to view details

2-Classic papier mache balloon project: Swap the newspaper for faux leaves, and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous autumn leaf bowl Click to view details

3-Canning Jar Ring Pumpkin. To make the wreath, you just get a bunch of canning jar lids and string them together, tying the string tightly. The original idea came from Funky Junk Interiors. Click to view Details

      Decorating Our New Home

Hello readers :-) Far from  the usual art, food, housekeeping tips and giveaways, today I would like to take you little bit in my personal life and what I am up to these days.

Inspired by the series posts My Home My space of MadeBYGirl a friend blogger whom I been inspired by during my whole blogging journey. I just gathered interior design list of how our new home should look like. Its important to make a list to keep track of how things would look like eventually. Because when you go out shopping for houseware / decor you find many nice things out their in shops who are doing their best to sell their products and display them in a charming way and in a tempting price, but the thing is! would these things match with other furnitures in the house and the space you have, would they fit the final image of the house you planed for!

This is actually  what make most people make design mistakes while shopping for their homes. And end up with a big mess of un-matched things all over the house. Beacause what you like in a shop is completely different to what suites your space and that what makes people hire a designer when they can afford it.  Did you ever wonder when you open a home decor magazine, why these interiors are always so gorgeous? and it's rarely seen in real homes. Becuase the magazine designers work in a way that things should be put together just like a puzzle game, a painting or a photograph that every shade and corner is counted.

As a person with artistic vision, I care a lot about how things appear in general, and all together, not just how one sofa, or one lamp look like. I am also sensitive to colors and visual things. For that reason I love to organize spaces in a certain way that everything is fresh, clean and in harmony with the other item next to it. Just like a painting. So here is a little peek at my list:
