Few days I ago I went shopping for new bedroom items to upgrade the look of our bed. I loved the new premium quality collection of H&m Home. They have all the styles to choose from spending on the clinets taste... when it comes to bedrooms, I prefer the cottage / old classic style because it gives a sense of comfort ( see set below).
My guy builded a wooden DIY bedhead. He got all the materials from BAUHAUS store and it took him only few hours. The style of the bedhead makes it hard to change bedroom decor to luxury style or other.. So I gotta stick to the natural look anyway as long as I am keeping the wooden bedhead..

Bed Anatomy
EUROPEAN PILLOW: The “euro” pillow is a 25x25” square that is both decorative and versatile. Esthetically, euro pillows give the bed height and grounding, but are also wonderful for reading in bed, hiding rumpled pillow cases and even “posing” as a headboard if you haven’t got one. Use two on a queen bed and three on a king. They are not for sleeping on.
DECORATIVE SHAMS: We typically add two standard or queen decorative pillows in front of the Euro pillows to fill out the bed, giving layers and depth to the overall look. They can be stacked for a more contemporary look, or propped upright in a more traditional style. They are not for sleeping on.
Toss cushions: These are the best way to add bold colours and trendy patterns to your bed, or to match the wall and headboard while still keeping the foundation of the bed fairly neutral and timeless. How many is a personal choice.
SHEETS: Make sure you know your mattress depth when purchasing your fitted sheets, as there are no more standardized measurements. Measure from the top of the mattress to the top of the box-spring. The flat sheet is optional, but it’s always nice to fold over if there is a special embroidered detail. After a few days of sleeping, the flat sheet and pillow cases will be deliciously rumpled, so the cases can be tucked behind decorative pillows and the flat sheet can be pulled right up.
DUVET COVER: The duvet cover can be easily unzipped and tossed into the wash without ever having to worry about laundering your duvet. You can pull the duvet up for a more traditional look, or roll it at the bottom as they do in modern hotels. The duvet has a cozy, luxurious look and feel, in contrast to a stiff bedspread. We recommend matching your duvet cover to one pair of decorative pillow shams.
COVERLET: Also know as a blanket cover, blanket, or matelasse, it typically comes in cotton and is as versatile as a duvet. Folded at the foot of the bed to add texture to the decor, or pulled up over the bed and used as a lightweight blanket in the summer. The more layers of texture on the bed, the more finished and inviting it will look. Each piece you invest in should have multi-purposes.
BEDSKIRT: If your mattress sits on a metal frame, a bed-skirt is essential. Bed-skirts can be tailored with or without pleats, or gathered for a more feminine look. Always get an exact measurement for the height of your skirt so it’s not too short or dragging on the floor. You'll want to measure from the top of the box-spring to the floor. Using a box spring cover - similar to a fitted sheet - for a cleaner look is also an option.
FEATHERBED: This European luxury item is optional, but is truly like sleeping on a cloud. It will enhance the sleeping experience on any mattress, inluding a pillow top or on an inferior quality mattress, such as a Hyde-a-bed. Filled with feather, it sits on the mattress and beneath the mattress pad. It not only gives ultimate comfort, but also a more puffy, sumptuous look.
MATTRESS PAD & PILLOW PROTECTORS: A good mattress pad is non-negotiable! You never wash your mattress, so it’s important to keep it clean. The same is true of pillow protectors, an absolute necessity in keeping your pillows clean and in protecting against dust-mites.
